- נְסַס(b. h. נָסַס) (to pine away, to be sick; trnsf. to be troubled. Targ. Esth. 4:17. Pa. נַסֵּיס to trouble. Targ. 2 Kings 4:28 (h. text תשלה). Ithpa. אִתְנַסֵּיס, אִתְנַס, אִינַּס, Ithpe. אִתְנְסִיס, אִינְּסִיס to be troubled; to grieve; to be weak. Targ. Gen. 45:5. Ib. 34:7 (O. ed. Berl. אִתְנַסִּיאוּ; v. Berl. Mass., p. 77). Targ. 2 Chr. 16:10; a. e.Sabb.145b; Gitt.56a; v. אִיתְנִיס, Gen. R. s. 50 (expl. וילאו, Gen. 19:11) אִינַּסּוּן or אִינְּסוּן they became weak.
